Wedding vows are the heart of the wedding ceremony. They are the promises you make to each other, declaring your love and commitment. Traditional vows may hold a special place for some couples, writing your own vows allows you to express your unique love story and commitment in a way that is authentic for you.

If you are feeling inspired to write your own vows here are a few guidelines to help you write vows that are heartfelt, love-filled and meaningful.
Start with Reflection: Before putting pen to paper, take some time and reflect on your relationship. Reflect on your love journey, the moments that brought you together, what you admire about your partner, the challenges you have overcome, how your partner has changed your life, and your hopes and dreams for the future. Vows from the heart require some vulnerability, so be open to expressing your emotions openly and always speak from the heart.
Set The Tone: How do you envision them? Romantic, humorous, sentimental or a mixture of all three? Incorporate humor in moderation, a lighthearted touch between the two of you can make your vows more enjoyable and personal. Using symbolic language adds depth to your vows, comparing your love to the stars, nature or using words from poetry or love songs.
